Accessory rail for lasers and tactical lights.Very well made, fit and finish is excellent. Good CO2 efficiency - 7 magazines - 133 shots.Purchased From: The Replica Airguns Store. Other than that the ASG Steyr M9-A1 with its Steyr licensing and trademarks looks pretty much bang on to the original pistol. Realism: The ASG Steyr M9-A1 BB shooter is a really close replica to the ractual 9mm ASG Steyr M9-A1 semi auto 9mm pistol, the only real giveaway is the safety, a "real looking" one is molded into the frame, but the actual usable safety (just below it) borrows from some other gun technologies and is a bit of a give away. The plastic/polymer parts look well made and the airgun has good overall weight for being mostly plastic. My Chrony testing with an eight shot averaged result was a very consistent 425 fps - right where the claimed manufacturer fps said it would be for this air pistol!īuild Quality: ASG has not let me down so far with their guns and the ASG Steyr M9-A1 is no exception, it may not be the most complex or have a bunch of metal parts, but it does get the job done and with a lot of style. The rear sight is non-adjustable so if you find you shoot a bit off with this airgun then you will need to adjust your aim-point slightly.

The action of the real Steyr M9-A1 is also DOA (double action only) as it uses a hammerless stiker-fired trigger setup.Īccuracy: I shot the ASG Steyr M9-A1 air pistol at a target from 20 feet away in a free standing position, and it performed respectfully, getting about a 2.5 inch grouping fairly close to the center of the target - just high and to the left. Trigger Pull: The trigger pull weight on the ASG Steyr M9-A1 is pretty typical of a double action trigger, in about the middle of the spectrum. The ASG M9A1 is available in standard black and an with an exclusive dark earth frame.Action: Semi auto non-blowback, double action only. Powered by a 12g CO2 powerlet in the grip, the M9A1 provides excellent power and gas efficiency, giving the shooter power in excess of 400 FPS and multiple magazines per CO2 cartridge. The fixed (non-blowback) slide is made of heavy duty cast metal alloy, adding heft and realism to the M9A1. The ASG M9A1 has an injection molded polymer frame complete with 20mm accessory rail, perfect for mounting weapon lights or lasers.

Of the crowd of pistols that came out of the "Wonder 9 Years" many faded into obscurity and others never made it off the drawing board, the Steyr Mannlicher M9 however, sees use internationally in the hands of some of the most elite military and law enforcement units.ĪSG has faithfully recreated the teutonic lines of the Steyr M9A1 in this Co2 powered Airsoft pistol. What sets the M9 apart from the crowd is its high grip profile, which holds the barrel access closer to the shooters hand, increasing accuracy by reducing muzzle rise and allowing for a quicker follow up shot.

Unique in its styling, the M9 offers the traditional polymer frame and striker firing mechanism many have come to know and love from Austrian made pistols. One of the best designs, that endures to this day is the Steyr Mannlicher M9. Riding the wave of that popularity, a myriad of other firearms manufacturers entered the fray with their own "wonder 9" in the United States, big names like Colt and Smith & Wesson threw their hat in the ring, some designs were good, others less so. Compared to service weapons of old, the lightweight and easy to use large capacity 9mm pistol was like something from the future, every law enforcement agency wanted it. The Glock 17 had taken the law enforcement market by storm leaving the traditional steel frame hammer fired pistols in the dust.
